Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using the YAN SEO Chrome extension ("the Extension") or accessing yanseo.com ("the Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Extension or the Site.

YAN SEO is developed and maintained by Yannys R. ("we", "us", "our").

2. Description of Service

YAN SEO is a free Google Chrome browser extension that performs on-page SEO analysis on websites you visit. It provides information about meta tags, heading structure, links, images, structured data, keyword density, and other technical SEO factors. The Extension operates entirely within your browser and does not require an account.

Features include, but are not limited to: Title & Meta Analyzer, Bulk Link Checker, Image SEO Auditor, Heading Hierarchy Validator, Schema Detector, Social Preview, Keyword Density Analyzer, Markdown Export for AI, Technical SEO Checklist, and Design Extractor.

3. Free Use and No Warranty

YAN SEO is provided free of charge. The Extension and Site are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Extension will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific SEO results will be achieved by using it. SEO is influenced by many factors outside our control, including search engine algorithm changes.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, YAN SEO and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of rankings, organic traffic, or revenue
• Decisions made based on audit results provided by the Extension
• Inaccuracies in the SEO analysis due to page structure, dynamic content, or JavaScript rendering
• Temporary unavailability of the Extension or Site

You use YAN SEO at your own risk and are solely responsible for any decisions made based on its output.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use YAN SEO only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Extension beyond what is permitted by applicable law
• Use the Extension to audit websites you do not have permission to access or analyze
• Use the Link Checker feature to send abusive, excessive, or unauthorized HTTP requests to third-party servers
• Represent the Extension's output as your own proprietary tool or service without attribution
• Use the Extension in any way that violates Google's Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies

6. Accuracy of SEO Analysis

YAN SEO analyzes the rendered HTML of web pages as seen by the browser. Results may differ from what search engine crawlers see if the page uses server-side rendering, JavaScript-heavy frameworks, or content gating. The Extension's output is intended as a diagnostic reference tool, not a guarantee of search engine behavior.

SEO recommendations provided by YAN SEO are based on widely accepted best practices and may not reflect the current ranking factors of any specific search engine.

7. Intellectual Property

The YAN SEO name, logo, extension code, and website content are the intellectual property of Yannys R. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of YAN SEO without prior written permission.

The Markdown Export feature converts publicly visible page content into Markdown format for the user's personal use. YAN SEO does not claim ownership of any content exported from third-party websites.

8. Third-Party Websites

YAN SEO analyzes third-party websites at the user's direction. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or SEO status of any website audited using the Extension. Links to third-party sites (such as the Chrome Web Store) are provided for convenience and do not constitute endorsement.

9. Updates and Changes

We reserve the right to update, modify, or discontinue the Extension or Site at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms. Continued use of YAN SEO after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the Terms were last revised.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes arising from the use of YAN SEO shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in the developer's country of residence.
